In 2000 we developed Be Your Own DJ to supply pro DJ Companies with back-up sound and lighting rental in the event they were over booked in New York New Jersey and St Louis Mo. Since then, we have rented over 1000 Disc Jockey sound units. As we developed a system with our DJ clients, many have stopped supplying their own sound systems and relies on us for their set-up.
Then came consumer MP3 players! We found that many people having parties were more interested in using their personal MP3 players as the source of their party music. Having a pro audio sound system to play them on was key. Since 2004 we have rent over 300 sound units to everyday people who let their IPOD do the work!
